Installing an SSL Certificate #

ℹ Information

An SSL certificate is a digital certificate that verifies your website’s identity and enables an encrypted (https) connection. In WPHost, you can issue a free certificate automatically or add your own.

01

Open the site management panel

In your WPHost personal account, go to the Your Sites section.

Find the site you need in the list and click the site management icon next to its name.

02

Go to the SSL Certificate section

In the site panel, open the Advanced tab.

In the list of advanced settings, find and expand the SSL Certificate section.

💡 Tip

The Advanced tab also holds database, nameserver, zone editor, and PHP settings — be careful when working with these options.

03

Issue or add a certificate

For a free automatic certificate, click Run AutoSSL.

If you already have your own (paid) certificate, click + Add Certificate and enter its details manually.

Run AutoSSL and Add Certificate buttons

✓ Done

The SSL certificate has been successfully connected to your site. The site is now available over the secure https protocol — check this by opening the site in your browser.
